Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder is a significant yet under-recognized mental health crisis in
the United States. National data consistently shows OCD is under-detected, under-referred,
and under-treated, contributing to prolonged suffering, misdiagnosis, and substantial delays
in access to effective, evidence-based care.
This event aims to be more than an awareness or networking opportunity. It serves as a
community-level educational intervention aimed at closing the clinical and systemic gaps
that contribute to these outcomes. Educators, primary care providers, pediatricians, OB-
GYNs, mental health providers and other frontline professionals are often the first to observe
early signs of OCD across the lifespan.
Strengthening knowledge and recognition within these sectors is critical to improving early
identification and referral. By bringing cross-disciplinary stakeholders, this event seeks to
reduce diagnostic delays, prevent misdiagnosis, and improve long-term outcomes through
earlier, more accurate intervention at the community level.
This essential event is presented by OCD and Anxiety of the Woodlands, PLLC and offers 2 CEUs.
$40 for 2 CEUs
$30 for non-CEU attendance
